Maybe it’s the mani-cam. Love it or hate it, at least it inspires stars to dress up their fingers. And lets us see their rings.

At the 2013 Emmy Awards, there were a surprising number of large cocktail rings.  I mean HUGE cocktail rings. The best were in sorbet shades, like Zooey Deschanel’s ice-blue tourmaline ring by Chanel. Or Allison William’s pink topaz ring by Fred Leighton.

Sofia Vergara rocked a 40-carat emerald ring and a 21-carat diamond ring by Lorraine Schwartz. (The Lorraine Schwartz emerald rings worn by Christina Hendricks and Sarah Hyland were more modest in size.) Guliana Rancic wore an 28-carat Ritani for Forevermark diamond ring worth $1,030,000.  Now that calls for a cocktail.
